There are maritime courts of special jurisdiction in China deal with matters in the waters under Chinese jurisdiction. The scope of cases to be accepted by maritime courts includes:

2.Cases concerning disputes over maritime contracts;
3.Cases concerning disputes over the exploitation and utilization of the navigable waters and the sea;
4.Cases concerning other maritime and admiralty disputes;
5.Cases concerning maritime administrative issues;
6.Cases involved in special maritime procedure ;
